This painting depicts the Brother of Jared placing one of the lighted stones into one of his people's ships. Just as great faith was required of the Brother of Jared to have light and to see the Lord, we must also have great faith if we are to see the Lord's hand in our lives and to see our paths lighted by His Spirit.

The Jaredite Crossing

Captured on their journey to the promise land, these barges weather the storms of life. This partially under-seascape is painted in exquisite detail. The story of the Jaredites leaving the Tower of Babel and sailing to a new land was created for my son. This epic adventure is his favorite story found in the Book of Mormon. I started my art journey with animals and my respect and awe of God's underwater creations can be seen in this painting. While visiting the Georgia Aquarium, I met whale sharks for the first time and decided to feature them in this piece.
